The late 1950's - 1960's was a magical time in Greenwich Village and we hope the songs we've chosen for this compilation help to recreate some of that magic.
All of the tracks were recorded before Jan 1961, which is when Bob Dylan arrived in the village, so the words and music you will hear on this collection are what was blowin' in the wind when Dylan began his extraordinary journey. This is volume 1 of a 2 part vinyl set that represents the scene he discovered and the artists who were already playing the hot spots of the Village when he arrived.
