Originally released in 1956, the album features the talented Curtis Counce Quintet of 1956-1957. The group is comprised of the bassist/leader, trumpeter Jack Sheldon, tenor saxophonist Harold Land, pianist Carl Perkins, and drummer Frank Butler.

The album features two Curtis Counce originals alongside jazz standards including "Too Close For Comfort" and Charlie Parker's "Big Foot".
