"This 45rpm version is Absolutely Stunning! I thought the 33 was great till I gave the 45 test pressing a spin... the opening cut is just Jaw-Dropping! There is just MORE of EVERYTHING: Air, Space, Dynamics, Detail... you name it!" - Bob Bantz, president of Elusive Disc
Available for the first time on 180 Gram 45rpm Double Vinyl!
One of Diana's most sought after albums!
"This album will definitely be in "The Demi-Gods". Close Miked and Very Immediate, like a Direct-to-Disc. Natural and Dynamic, but it has a limited sense of a large space. Superb Pressing!" - Arthur Salvatore, High End Audio
The first-ever live concert recording from Grammy®-winning vocalist/pianist Diana Krall was Recorded at the Paris Olympia Theatre. Here finally, captured in amazing audio quality, is an album showcasing the magic of Krall’s concert performances.
Krall and her band – perform some of the tunes from Krall’s studio recordings, such as "East of the Sun (West of the Moon)" and "Devil May Care." They are joined by special guests John Pisano (acoustic guitar) and Paulinho DaCosta (percussion) for several tracks, including the Gershwins’ "S’wonderful." The Orchestre Symphonique Europeen, conducted by Alan Broadbent with special guest conductor Claus Ogerman, is featured on the upbeat "Let’s Fall in Love" and a haunting interpretation of "I’ve Got You Under My Skin."
Audiophile Audition / audaud.com Rated 4 1/2 stars
"ORG has remastered the tapes for audiophile 45 rpm vinyl. The results are
flawless. There is warmth in the tones that reflect the acoustic sound of the
band. The separation is precise, especially in the mixes with the orchestra. The
intricate registers and suppleness of Krall’s voice are presented with
impeccable clarity." - Audiophile Audition, audaud.com,
Soundstage Rated 5 out of 5 for Recording Quality!
"A favorite of audiophiles because her music and voice lend themselves to purist recording techniques, Diana Krall perpetually sounds in great form on her recordings... The sound, remastered by Bernie Grundman, is clear, spacious and well defined -- outstanding in every way, the backing players as vivid as Krall's voice and piano..." - Marc Mickelson, soundstage.com, May 2009
Featured on the album are live renditions of "The Look of Love," the title track from Krall’s platinum-certified Verve release, her first recorded version of the Joni Mitchell-penned "A Case of You," and "Fly Me to the Moon," a song not included on the previously-released DVD Diana Krall – Live in Paris (Eagle Eye/Pioneer Entertainment).
Also on this recording is a special bonus studio track—a rendition of Billy Joel’s "Just The Way You Are" featuring Michael Brecker's beautiful tenor sax solo.
"One of Diana Krall’s most beloved CDs, Live in Paris, has been given a loving audiophile LP remastering treatment by ace engineer legend, Bernie Grundman and produced by an audiophile label new to us, Original Recordings. The shimmering string arrangements on Let’s Fall in Love and I’ve Got You Under My Skin, are testament alone to the real life power of vinyl..." - Audiophile Audition
"Bernie Grundman’s remastering for vinyl puts Live in Paris in the gold plated category for the legions of Krall aficionados. This two-LP audiophile edition would make an ideal late night listening experience, or the perfect background soundtrack for a special dinner party." - Audiophile Audition
"The recording, engineered by legend Al Schmitt, sounded good on CD. But ORG's stellar two-disc, 180-gram vinyl reissue, remastered by Bernie Grundman, trumps it. Surfaces are dead quiet, and the LP is lighter on its feet, more layered, airier, finer grained, and more transparent. Live in Paris is a great addition to a choice LP collection." - Neil Gader, The Absolute Sound, January 2010, Issue 200, reviewing the 180g ORG 33 1/3rpm version

|Many years ago I heard parts of Live In Paris by Diana Krall in an audio store and felt in love with the sultry voice and impeccable piano work so I went home and ordered the DVD.
Today I have everyone of her CDs, every DVD and Blu-Ray discs and have attended five of her concerts and looking forward to the latest one in Milwaukee in November. So yes, I am a fan.
Earlier this year I bought this limited edition Diana Krall Live in Paris HQ LP from Elusive Disc. This afternoon I pulled it out and the RTI packaging is excellent. The visual of the LP showed no marks and the center hole was centered and the 180 gram vinyl felt great in the hands.
After listening to side 1 I was impressed with the sound quality of the RTI pressing on the 180 g vinyl. There is no noise, nothing. Its quiet so there is no competition with the background noise. No ticks, pops, only silence. The separation was excellent and it sounds like your in a theater listening to a live performance.
The solo work, Dianes vocals, ensemble meshed nicely. I closed my eyes and listed and you think your in a concert hall. Sound quality is far superior to the CD version and the DVD version of Live in Paris. I am extremely pleased with the sound. After listening to all four sides I just kept smiling. Everything is perfect on this pressing.
This limited edition album is out of stock at many stores and is selling for 3 digital on Amazon. If you are a Diana Krall fan this limited edition version needs to be in your collection. If your a fan of jazz and female singers with a sultry voice and great piano work, this needs to be in your collection too. Highly recommended.
For your reference: I listened to both LPs on my Rega RP-6 with the Exact2 cartridge, Integra preamp, and Parasound 5 channel amplifier.|
