Limited Edition 10" Vinyl EP! Recorded in 2010, this EP features a plethora of musicians!

As a fitting bookend to the most successful year of the band's career, The Decemberists release this EP entitled Long Live the King. Similar to the critically acclaimed, chart-topping bow The King Is Dead, the EP is a mostly-acoustic set of 6 Americana-based songs, recorded around the same time as The King Is Dead, and includes their stunning cover of the Grateful Dead track "Row Jimmy". The EP was produced once again by Tucker Martine.

Beginning in late January 2011, with the #1 debut of their 6th album, the Portland-based band has gon on to tour the country numerous times and have major slots on festivals around the country. The first single off the album "Down By the River" garnered the band their first #1 single - topping the AAA chart, which was followed by a second top 10 single at the format with "This Is Why We Fight". The third single from the album, "Calamity Song" rocketed up the AAA and Modern Rock charts and the band had the video for the song directed by the Parks & Recreation creator Michael Schur.

Recorded Spring/Summer 2010. Mastered by Stephen Marcussen at Marcussen Mastering, Hollywood, CA.
