The White Stripes Under Great White Northern LIghts premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 18, 2009.
The film, which is directed by Emmett Malloy, traces the duos' 2007 tour of Canada, and features performance footage alongside backstage interviews and local venues.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of White Stripes, Meg and Jack White packed up and proceeded to tour Canada playing in every province and territory in the country. Emmett Malloy was there to film the experience which includes performances at local bowling alleys and meetings with natives of the territory of Nunavut.
