Recommended for Leather Earpads and Headbands!

Like many quality products, some easy maintenance will add longevity to your Audeze headphones. Audeze crafts their LCD earpads and headbands with premium leather and recommends you protect them from dust, dirt, oils, and everyday wear with their Custom Leather Care Kit. Doing so assures that the leather remains as soft and lustrous as the day you first put them on.

The Audeze Leather Care Kit includes an environmentally-friendly, plant-based leather conditioner sourced from a local California company. ItÂ’s made of a blend of premium oils, gentle soap, traditional plant extracts and natural waxes that penetrate deep into the leather to clean, moisturize, protect, and shine.

Navel orange oil and mild soap gently remove dirt, dust and oils. Lanolin, coconut oil and aloe vera condition the leather so it remains supple. Finally, carnauba wax and beeswax offer superior protection of your investment when compared to chemical blends.

Class 100 Cleanroom Wipes
Audeze sampled the microfiber cloths that mass market leather kits provide but found they trapped dust and dirt plus absorbed more conditioner then they released. The ideal match was found in a scientific catalog; class 100 cleanroom wipes cost more to purchase because theyÂ’re designed to meet specifications for ISO class 5 or higher cleanrooms. Audeze doesnÂ’t compromise and theyÂ’re worth every penny. These soft, ultra-low-lint polyester fabric wipes are absorbent, non-abrasive, machine washable and reusable. TheyÂ’re not just better for your headphones, theyÂ’re also better for the planet and for you -- Audeze buys them in bulk and passes the savings on to their customers.

Audeze's Custom Leather Care Kit is easy to use. Just apply a pea-sized bead to the supplied cleanroom-approved polyester cloth and gently rub it into the leather on your ear pads and/or headband. The entire process takes less than two minutes.

Leather Care Kit — For Leather Only
A note of caution: Although Audeze's Leather Care Kit is perfect for revitalizing your leather headband and earpads it can damage AudezeÂ’s non-leather bands and pads.

What's Included
You'll get one 2-fl. oz. (59 ml) bottle of premium leather conditioner and two machine-washable, cleanroom-quality cleaning wipes.

Ingredients:
Some leather conditioners use inexpensive and occasionally toxic chemicals to cut costs. At Audeze, they build the very best headphones so their leather conditioner must meet the same stringent protocols.

• Lanolin is a highly effective emollient preventing leather from drying by forming a protective film. It derives from sheep’s wool that’s refined and purified.
• Aloe vera, one of nature’s best moisturizers, has been used for almost 2,000 years. Together with coconut oil it helps repair leather, preserve its texture, and nourish leather fibers for longer life and a softer feel.
• Beeswax is an excellent restorative, an expensive byproduct of honey production. Bees travel an estimated 150,000 miles to eat enough honey to secrete just one pound of wax. Amazingly, 100 pounds of honey produce only 1 to 2 pounds of beeswax.
• Carnauba wax is sourced from one place in the world, the leaves of a palm tree growing in northeastern Brazil. After carnauba palm leaves are collected and dried workers beat them to loosen the wax then refine it into the finished product.
