The album chronicles a show performed by Baez in a bullring, naturally, in Bilbao, Spain, in 1988, and it demonstates what makes her such a draw overseas. Half of the collection (tracks seven through 12) consists of songs sung in Spanish.

The song in Catalan TXORIA TXORI is about a sweet little bird...I want to thank Pasku who taught it to me, and thank the Bilbao public for singing it so beautifully." — Joan Baez.
