Violinist Leonid Kogan performs compositional works by Shostakovich, Strauss, Mozart and Ravel. A portion of the music was recorded November 26, 1959 at Studios de la Radiodiffusion Television Francaise in Paris while the remainder was recorded live at Theatre des Champs-Elysees in Paris on March 8, 1966.
