It is doubtful that any composer was more productive than Beethoven in the year 1806. In that year Beethoven completed his piano Sonata No. 23 (the so called Appassionata", perhaps his quintessential work.) Combined with Beethoven is Schumann's piano concerto. Both composers are unique, and together create a brilliant collection of classical work.
