L'Arte dell'Arco on period instruments directed by solo violinist Federico Guglielmo performing Vivaldi Le Quattro Stagioni and Guido Le Le Quattro Stagioni dell' Anno.

The Dresden Version of Vivaldi's Four Seasons was orchestrated to include wind instruments. Here, the spring is endowed with recorders, oboes, horns, and bassoons - and suddenly everything blossoms even more vividly! Giovanni Antonio Guido's setting of Vivaldi's Four Seasons complements this piece nicely - a wonderfully beautiful document of the "French manner" into which the Vivaldian models have been translated. Both works were recorded with period instruments in surround sound.
