The a capella vocal group that would become known as The Inner Voices was formed in 2000 to showcase the combined talents of lead singer Carly Tuttle, mezzo-soprano Melissa Morina and alto Danielle Jacobson. Their euphonic blend and unique harmonies have delighted audiences at contests, festivals, and special events throughout the Midwest.

Together the three girls create their own hauntingly smooth arrangements of traditional Renaissance, Medieval and Gospel music. Each finds their inspiration in each other, creating a synergy among them that is evident in their arrangements. They have won numerous awards and captivated audiences wherever they have performed.

Carly, Melissa, and Danielle first began singing together during a solo/ensemble contest during Carly’s senior year in high school. They had sung together in their high schools’ choir, the Hillside Singers, for three years, but had never sang as a trio until the contest. They ended up winning ttop honors at district competition and at the state competition that year. Recognizing they had something special, they began singing together regularly. Together, they attended high school in Pleasant Hill, Missouri -- in the shadow of a weather radar site. Maybe that explains their sunny dispositions.
