Taxidi, featuring guitarist Fausto Mesolella. Recorded and produced by Giulio Cesare Ricci, founder and president of the Audiophile Productions / Fone.

Italian guitarist, composer, and arranger Fausto Mesolella had been impressed and fascinated by the sound of Scott Hamilton's sax recorded in the ancient cellar of the Palazzo di Scoto di Semifonte in Certaldo Alto and from there the desire to record a new guitar disc was born. Giulio Cesare asked Fausto to bring everything he normally used for a concert - his amplification system to spread the sound and "all his "cazzabubboli," as they jokingly called them among themselves. Julius Caesar placed Fausto with his guitar at the acoustically optimal point of the cellar by matching the amplification system with the space. He positioned the legendary Neumann microphones as if he were recording acoustic, recording what we listened to live, the sound of the cellar. The result was fascinating, intimate, unique. Fausto played by expressing his art and his soul in freedom.

Giulio Cesare Ricci used the microphones of his Neumann collection. As with all foné albums, this album also has a double master: analogue for the Vinyl (AMPEX ATR 102 30ips 2 tracks 1 / 2inch) and digital high resolution (dCS AD / DA converters) for the SACD. No editing. All tracks on this record are heard as they were performed.
