Double LP Contains Music from 1973 Classic Movie American Graffiti!

Take a trip down memory lane with "41 Original Hits from the Soundtrack of American Graffiti," the official 1973 soundtrack album of the film American Graffiti composed of hits songs from the '50s and early '60s music. This classic soundtrack has been certified triple platinum and is still a fan favorite today.

The 1973 film included many up and coming stars including Richard Dreyfuss, Ron Howard, Harrison Ford, Mackenzie Phillips, Suzanne Somers and so many more recognizable faces and names. Produced by Francis Ford Coppola and directed & co-written by George Lucas, the movie told the story of a group of cruising teenagers and their adventures during one night in 1962. In 1995, the U.S. Library of Congress deemed the film "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant" and selected it for preservation in the National Film Registry.

"The soundtrack to the George Lucas film about teenage life in a small California town in the early '60s was probably the best thing about the movie, featuring several dozen outstanding early rock & roll hits." -Richie Unterberger, allmusic.com
