Everything VPI has learned in 27 years of manufacturing the world's best (and most copied) record cleaning machines is incorporated into this new design. The HW-27 Typhoon Record Cleaner features 2 times the suction power of the HW-17, making the Typhoon the most powerful Record Cleaning Machine on the market. The HW-27 also features lower noise than the 17F, precision sheet metal chassis and a platter made from a solid acrylic resting on a bearing assembly similar to a turntable.

The Typhoon comes with a dust cover, it has an automatic fluid-application, scrubs bi-directionally and powerful built in vacuum.

This machine is so powerful you will hear things from your records that were never revealed by other cleaning machines.

Mobile Fidelity LP Super Record Wash: To achieve the proper base for the MFSL/RRL fluids, Brian Weitzel (a chemist and Lp enthusiast in the Pacific Northwest) designed and built a special copper distillery, producing quadruple deionized water. Distilled water as a base still contains many trace minerals which can be positively or negatively charged and attach themselves to the vinyl. Deionized water reduces the level of trace minerals in the reacted water, greatly reducing the amount of mineral contaminates on the record itself.
