"Nothing as It Seems" is a song by Pearl Jam, written by bassist Jeff Ament. Ament plays upright bass on the song giving it a very atmospheric feel. "Nothing as It Seems" was released on April 25, 2000 as the first single from the band's sixth studio album, Binaural (2000). The song peaked at number three on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. The song also appears on Pearl Jam's 2004 greatest hits album, rearviewmirror (Greatest Hits 1991–2003).
