Grammy nominated and critically acclaimed Ray LaMontagne returns with his anticipated fourth studio album, God Willin' & The Creek Don't Rise. Entirely self-produced (for the first time) the album was recorded in two weeks at LaMontagne's home in the woods of western Massachusetts. The newly restored historic home served as a homemade recording studio for Ray and his fellow musicians. With Ray's vocals at the forefront of the songs and a loose, almost live sounding recording, the album stands as a testament to a band at the height of their powers. The newly coined 'Pariah Dogs' consists of Jay Bellarose, Jennifer Condos, Patrick Warren, Eric Heywood and Greg Leisz. Individually, these musicians have contributed to the live work of such heralded musicians including Beck, Joe Henry, Tom Waits, Lucinda Williams, Ryan Adams and Joe Cocker to name a few of their career highlights. Together with Ray, they shared a sense that the sessions for this record were rare and extraordinary.

Ray has won over the music critics with his unique voice and remarkable, evocative songwriting:

"...full of the warm yearning of a young Van Morrison." - Rolling Stone

"...illustrated a near flawless transition from a front porch in Maine to the front of the most prestigious stage in the world (Radio City Music Hall)." - Spin.com

"...delivered with the confidence and enthusiasm of an artist who knows he's reached a creative highpoint." - Boston Herald

"The visuals are to the music what the music is to the engineering, much like those elements compliment one another on The Band's second album. It's rare for that to happen. The artist is the producer and he knows what he wants, that is for sure. This is an album about craftsmanship on all levels. It's more comfortable than challenging but its done so well you'll know you haven't wasted your time. The man who wrote "Trouble" has proven he's no one hit wonder. "- Michael Fremer, www.musicangle.com, Music 9/10, Sound 10/10!
