As the winner of six East Coast Music Awards (including 1999 Female Artist of the Year), two Juno Awards ( 1999 for In My Hands and 2000), two Canadian Country Music Awards and not least of all a Grammy® nomination in 2000, Natalie has achieved tremendous success in the field of traditional Cape Breton music. This 1999 release from this Canadian superstar takes her music to new horizons, incorporating pop, jazz, and even Latin influences, while creating some of the most vital and exciting Celtic music available today. Natalie MacMaster is on her way to becoming a household name.
The title track features Natalie’s vocal debut on both spoken word and backing vocals, over a seductively hypnotic beat. Special guest Alison Krauss sings the gorgeous ballad, "Get Me Through December," and other tracks feature instrumental contributions from Sharon Shannon, Mark O’Connor, Jesse Cooke, and members of Holly Cole’s band.
