A Remarkable, Intimate & Rockin' Performance from Audiophile Favorite Rickie Lee Jones filmed LIVE in High-Definition and Presented in Dolby Stereo & 5.1 Surround Sound!

2010 marked the 30th anniversary of the dawn of Rickie Lee Jones' storied recording career, which exploded in 1979 with her self-titled debut album and its top 10 hit, "Chuck E's In Love." Jones had an immediate impact on pop culture, enjoying the massive buzz, an instantaneous Rolling Stone cover, and winning the Grammy for Best New Artist. Three decades' later and she's still one of the most vital, distinctive and instantly recognizable voices in music.

As evidence, March 7, 2010 a very special night in Stockholm, Sweden. Rickie Lee Jones - Live in Stockholm was filmed at the historic and regal Berns Salonger, built in 1862. With massive crystal chandeliers, gilded walls, and paintings of Swedish royalty throughout, Berns is a venue fit for a queen. Rickie delivered to a packed house the best of her catalog from her debut album all the way up to her latest release "Balm in Gilead": It Takes You There, Satellites, The Real End, Pirates, Bonfires, Chuck E's In Love, We Belong Together - it's all captured on this remarkable evening that no one in attendance will likely forget.

"An absolute original live! When beatnik kitty cat Rickie Lee first blew minds in '79 with Chuck E.'s In Love, it was obvious that an artist of startling talent had arrived. As she evolved, straightened up, and became a mother, she wisely shed the theatrics and focused on her art. Taped last year in front of a crowd of adoring Swedes and beautifully directed by Ian McCrudden who bathes Jones in light and bright colors, this concert hasn't a frill in sight. The "little girl who's singing this song" still emotes with that singular conversational scat 'n' roll. She's a jazz singer really – always has been. She performs originals from her astounding one-two shot eponymous debut and its follow-up Pirates, all the way through '09's Balm In Gilead. A fine guitarist and pianist, she's simply backed by bassist and drummer, both of whom sing, creating gorgeous three-part harmonies. At one point she becomes so wrapped up in her guys' delightful falsettos, she forgets the lyrics and lapses into giggles. Rickie Lee Jones clearly loves her job." - Michael Simmons, MOJO The Magazine September 2011 Review, 4 Stars (out of 5)

This unique concert film was conceived and directed by Grammy nominated director Ian McCrudden (Anita O'Day – The Life of a Jazz Singer). Rickie Lee Jones - Live in Stockholm solidifies her place in music history and proves why she is still one of the best singer-songwriters of all time.

Percussionist Lionel Cole is the legendary Nat King Cole's nephew. His father, Freddy Cole, is a Grammy nominated jazz vocalist and the brother of Nat. Lionel has also completed a solo album and has toured with popular recording artist Mariah Carey. Bassist Joey Maramba is a talented Los Angeles musician and composer that took bass lessons from an early age. His musical influences include Charles Mingus, Antonio Carlos Jobim, amongst others.
