Two brand-new original songs from the inimitable Beck. While the A-side of "Hating" manages genre hop as well as anything Mr. Hansen has done in the past, the flip side of "Blue Randy" has a certain timeless quality that feels like it would equally be at home on any past release whether it be "One Foot in the Grave" or "Sea Change."
Beck is one of the greatest artists of our time and we are beyond honored to be able to release such a pivotal record in his already-golden catalog.
Both tracks were recorded in 2011 while Beck was in Nashville working on new material for his long awaited next album. The songs spontaneously came together at the Third Man studio on Beck's final day in town.
