Hailing from Las Vegas, Imagine Dragons harnessed the restless energy of "the city that never sleeps" with two EP's in 2009 - Imagine Dragons and Hell and Silence - earning a string of local accolades including "Best Local Indie Band 2010" by Las Vegas Weekly and "Best CD of 2011" by Vegas Seven magazine for their third independent EP It's Time.
The band announced they would be entering Studio X inside Palms Casino Resort to finish recording their debut album Night Visions in the summer of 2012 and released the album on September 4. It peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 chart with first week sales in excess of 83,000 copies, the highest charting for a debut rock album since 2006. Billboard Magazine listed them as one of "2012's Brightest New Stars." Amazon.com called the band their "Favorite Rock artist of 2012."
Augmenting their studio recordings, Imagine Dragons--which is Dan Reynolds (vocals), Wayne Sermon (guitar), Ben McKee (bass), Daniel Platzman (drums)--have brought their epic, larger-than-life live show to stages across the country, from headlining clubs and festivals to opening for such indie notables as Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Hot Chip, Nico Vega (whom they toured with in Fall 2010), and The Temper Trap, as well as for such major acts as Weezer and Interpol.
