This recording of Carmina Burana dates from the zenith of André Previns golden era at the helm of the London Symphony Orchestra and has been newly mastered from the original stereo EMI Master Tapes.

Recorded November 25-27, 1975 at Londons famous Kingsway Hall.

Now, the sound is even better in Hi-Qs audiophile remastering, and it makes Previns interpretation, full of love and lust and other sensual delights, an even greater delight... Hi-Q use the JVC XRCD K2 disc processing system... the process is about as precise and accurate as you can get in transferring an analogue tape signal to compact disc... As usual, I put the Hi-Q disc into one CD player and the latest EMI issue into another...
