Stockfisch transferred their highresolution stereomix soundfiles of the SACD "hell or high water" to the JVC Studios in Yokohama. Renowned sound engineer Kotetsu mastered a XRCD24 based on this material. Available now from Stockfisch Records: A very interesting and exciting comparison between SACD and XRCD!

Sara K. is in a class all of her own. This singer is gifted with the rare ability of having an emotional grasp of the listener by virtue of her spontaneous and intensive aura that casts a spell on the listener. All her records have received several high-calibre awards, including a number of jazz awards.

Sara K. was born in Texas. Today she lives in New Mexico. It is here that she finds the inner calm for writing and rehearsing new songs. Supported by Stockfisch technology, musically accompanied by renowned musicians, a singer/songwriter extraordinaire is on her way between folk and blues, between Joni Mitchell and Janis Joplin. Great music and great sound: "Hell or High Water'" is both. Unfortunately, this is also the last recording together with guitarist Chris Jones who died in the autumn last year.

ItÂ’s a pensive and thoughtful, yet not depressive kind of music. Sensuous yet full of reflection. Passages of meditation, a jazzy kind of voice celebrating the Blues. The accompanying instruments, especially those low whistles, produce a meditative, spherical sound.
